Mayoral Candidates Square Off in Strib

After Mayor John Schmitt with mayoral candidate Brad Tabke in a Star Tribune photo shoot last week, the article, sans photos of either, was published today. It offers frank opinions from the two on the state of Shakopee and its future with only a photo of a child playing on a local playground.

This week, both Schmitt and Tabke told Patch tensions have been put to rest as they focus on their campaigns. 

"He gave me a very nice apology and so it's done," Tabke told Patch on Tuesday.

"I got a little uptight when they wanted it to be group pictures, so I left," Schmitt said Monday.  "But, I apologized to Brad."
