Shakopee Shares Popular Ice Cream, Yogurt, Soft Serve Flavors

With temperatures expected to remain hot on Thursday and just because it's summer, Patch asked some area frozen treat shops what flavor treats customers most like to purchase.

The favorite ice cream flavor at Coffee Ta Cream is Superman, said Manager Ryan Koch. Superman ice cream is a colorful mix of colors and flavors. Blue Moon is also a favorite, he added.

Other favorite flavors come from the Sebastian Joe's homemade original flavors and Kemps. Oreo is a top seller from Sebastian Joe's and so is raspberry chocolate chip, which includes real raspberry seeds. 

"It's almost like a gelato," Koch said about the ice cream. 

He added that Kemps has an ice cream called cinni mini churro that customers seem to enjoy. It is cinnamon flavored ice cream with graham cracker pieces mixed in.

At Shakopee's CherryBerry, the favorite yogurt flavors are chocolate and coffee, said one employee there.

And at the Dairy Queen Grill and Chill on Carriage Court? Customers tend to simply go with vanilla soft serve.
