Here's what is happening this weekend in Shakopee.
SMSC Wacipi
The 2013 Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Wacipi (Pow Wow) is this weekend. The SMSC Wacipi Exhibition is at the Mall of America on Thursday.
Grand Entry
Friday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m.
Flag Raising
Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.
Fireworks
Saturday at 10 p.m.
Admission is $5 for the weekend with purchase of a button and free for children under 10 and adults over 60. Find more information at on 2013 SMSC Wacipi website.Â
Minnesota Renaissance Fair
The Renaissance Fair starts on Saturday, Aug. 17 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 29.
Tickets for adults are $18.95 and $10.50 for youth between 5 and 12. There are also season pass tickets available.

Fillies Race for Hope
The event at Canterbury Park is in support of Minnesota breast cancer patients. It takes place on Saturday, Aug. 17.

9:30 a.m. — 10:15 a.m. Check-in & Registration
10:30 a.m. Walk & Trot Begins
11:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. Post Walk & Trot Celebration
The Horse Races
12:00 p.m. Gates open & festivities begin
12:30 p.m. — 4:00 p.m. Pink Buffet for VIPs & Sponsors
1:30 p.m. — 6:00 p.m. Horse Races
2:30 p.m. Survivor Parade will take place on the Track after the third horse race.
