If she wins, Pearson plans to donate the $1,000 that goes to charity to the Minnesota Women of Today foundation, a local non-profit dedicated to community service. Pearson has been a member for about nine years and said the organization inspired her blog. She also chose them because they support a variety of other organizations based on their members' interests and the needs of the local communities they serve.
