The Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board

The Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board recognized Shakopee’s Imagine! Print Solutions at the board’s Dec. 13 legislative and awards event.

Imagine! Received the 2013 Bob Killeen Quality Award, which recognizes companies for their quality practice. The award was named for Bob Killeen, Sr., a long-time labor representative who served on the Workforce Investment Board.

The company has three important quality-related initiatives in place:

• Process improvement teams,
• A “lean enterprise” called Imagine! Streamlined Philosophy and
• Ideas for Excellence, a robust employee suggestion program for continuous improvement.

“The result of their high focus on quality programs is that they provide problem-free products to their customers so these companies can be successful and grow. They also go out of their way to help clients address other areas that they could improve such as efficiency, because they want to be a good partner and help companies succeed,” noted Vance Boelter who nominated the company.
