Update: Injuries to Woman Found Along Roadside in Prior Lake May Not Be From Assault

"It's not confirmed that it is an assault," Prior Lake Police Lt. Randy Hofstad said Tuesday.

Update Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 11:09 a.m. from Prior Lake police Lt. Randy Hofstad: "Sorry, nothing new.  It sounds like we will not have any updates until the end of the week."

Authorities continue to investigate an incident in which of County Road 42 near Conroy Street in Prior Lake Sunday.

Prior Lake police said Tuesday morning no one is in custody and they are not actively looking for suspects.

"It's not confirmed that it is an assault," said Prior Lake Police Lt. Randy Hofstad Tuesday. 

The woman, of Savage, has been hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries including burns to her body. Police are not able to talk with her at this point, Hofstad added.

Prior Lake police were called at about 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, regarding a woman who was possibly assaulted in the 6000 block of 140th Street. At the time they said there was no danger to the public.
