Shakopee Mayor Brad Tabke will deliver the annual "State of the City" address tonight at Turtle's Bar & Grill.
Tabke's speech is expected to begin at 8 p.m. It should be viewable on his website and on YouTube starting at 7:40 p.m.
The restaurant is holding a $30 per plate fundraiser toward a new beautification program that will plant flower baskets around the downtown area.

Shakopee Public Works is watering and maintaining the flowers ($6,000) while the Downtown businesses are purchasing the baskets for $5,000 and Shakopee Public Works is assuming the $6,000 cost of watering and maintaining the flowers.
