Viper Powersports Purchases Shakopee Manufacturer of Racing Bikes

Viper Powersports, Inc. announced today that it has acquired the assets of Shakopee-based .

PMFR has been operating for 36 years and is a leading manufacturer of performance racing bikes and components. PMFR markets its products worldwide through pmfronline.com and other distributors. PMFR Inc., a new, wholly owned subsidiary, will serve as the aftermarket, high performance division of Viper Powersports, Inc.

"I look forward to the opportunity of continued growth for PMFR with the support and additional resources from Viper Powersports," PMFR Founder and Principal John Trutnau said in a news release. "We have built numerous custom, race and National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Championship bikes; however, what I am really looking forward to is building an NHRA Championship Winning Pro Stock Motorcycle featuring the Viper-Ilmor racing engine."

John Silseth, CEO of Viper Powersports said Trutnau is known for his integrity and reputation and that the are extremely excited to have him and his team join their organization.
