Enjoy one final taste of winter by hitting the slopes at Buck Hill, which will have its last day on Friday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $13.

This weekend, foodies are invited to a culinary throwdown at the Mall of America featuring eight local celebrity chefs from the likes of Barbette, The Strip Club and Piccolo. The bracket will compete in elimination heats, until only two remain for Sunday’s final duel. The stakes? Bragging rights and a stash of cool cash.
The bouts will begin on Saturday and run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the mall's rotunda. Contest continues on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Farm Babies!
This weekend the Minnesota Zoo's Wells Fargo Family Farm will be open for spring, with baby chicks, piglets, lambs, calves, goat kids, and bunnies. Farm Babies runs until April 30.
This weekend marks the final showing of this play at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center. The musical is based on Charles Dickens' unfinished story of "greed, murder and madness," but have no fear. This is no downer. The play is described as "raucous and bawdy" and a "rollicking good time."
Tickets are $20 general admission, $17 for seniors, students, audio description and ASL patrons, and groups of 8 or more.
