Joseph R. Woodbury, 62

Joe died from a brain aneurysm suffered on Sunday, August 5 at his cabin in Pine City while with his dog Kona and his older brother Tim and his family.  He was 62. 

Joe was a graduate of St. Louis Park High School and St. Thomas University.  Following college he was in HR management with IDS for a short time before co-founding a chain of ski equipment and Toro irrigation systems stores known as Pioneer Midwest, Inc.  He was President of the company for 35 years until his death. 

Joe never married,  but was the favorite uncle of his seven nieces and nephews and eight grand nieces and nephews.  He was also well known by many high school cross country ski teams throughout the northern metro.

Joe was preceded in death by his dad, Bob Woodbury, and his dog, Patches. 

He is survived by his mother, Mary Woodbury; brothers, Tim (Jane), Steve (Peggy) and Dan (Gail) Woodbury; nieces and nephews, Heather (AJ) Johnson, Jenny Woodbury, Chris (Brenna) Woodbury, Jeff (Megan) Woodbury, Andy (Stacy) Woodbury, Hannah Woodbury and Tom Woodbury; business partner, John Boehme; his dog, Kona.

Joe was very close to his brothers and his entire family.  He will be deeply missed. 

Interment St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
