  • RentHelpMN is a statewide emergency rent assistance program where the renter leads the application process. If you are a Hennepin County renter of landlord and need help with your RentHelpMN applications, call 612.348.6442 and a Hennepin County staff person will help you complete the application.
  • Zero Balance Project is a metro-area emergency rent assistance program where rental property owners and managers lead the application process. If your landlord started an application for Zero Balance Project, follow the instructions emailed to you, or ask your landlord for assistance.

Completed applications in either program will protect you from eviction for non-payment of rent. Work with your landlord to select only one program to use.
