The Minnesota Recreation and Park Association (MRPA) recognized two City of St. Louis Park recreation staff members with awards at its recent conference. Nate Rosa, recreation supervisor, received the Jack Niles Award, recognizing a professional member of MRPA for 10-plus years who has provided outstanding service to the parks and recreation field and to MRPA.

Mark Oestreich, Westwood Hills Nature Center manager, and Jason West, recreation superintendent, received the Tommy Johnson Award for the Westwood Hills Nature Center project. The Tommy Johnson Award, selected from among the Award of Excellence projects or initiatives, recognizes innovation and creativity in the recreation field.
