Cook-to-Order Restaurant, Taproom Planned for Texa Tonka Mall

A 67-seat cook-to-order restaurant and bar could be coming to the west end of the Texa Tonka Mall on Minnetonka Boulevard.

Bin & Keg wants to lease a vacant 5,140 square foot space next to Yes Mart at 8128 Minnetonka Blvd.

The planning commission will consider a conditional use permit Wednesday evening.

The restaurant, tentatively named “Keg: Taproom, Spirits & Kitchen,” would boast about 20 beers on tap and serve “fresh, seasonal comfort food” such as lobster mac and cheese, deviled eggs and “roasted airline chicken.”

“With a butcher block bar-top and keg display wall, we will have one of the most unique restaurant designs in the area,” Bin & Keg wrote in an application.
