Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Climbing Championship

Come to Oak Hill Park to witness and experience tree climbing at its unique best.

There will be more than 40 climbers—men and women—competing and showcasing their extraordinary talents using just ropes, moving into, through and up large, mature trees, while performing speed and rescue challenges. The winners, one from the men’s division and one from the women’s division, will go on to compete and represent Minnesota in the International Tree Climbing competition to be held this summer.

Also, celebrate Arbor Day and trees, while beautifying the park through tree planting, litter pick-up and flower planting. Tree Trust has once again partnered with the city of St. Louis Park to help plant more than 30 trees. Plus, everyone attending will get a free seedling to plant in your yard!
