Feds Evaluate SLP Methodist Hospital's Patient Care, Mortality Rate

The federal government recently ranked more than 3,600 U.S. hospitals including dozens in Minnesota.

The one- to five-star ratings are based on statistics including patient mortality, patient satisfaction and hospital readmission and are compiled by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, according to a Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal article.

Rochester's Mayo Clinic was the only Minnesota health facility assessed to receive a five-star rating.

Among the 40 statewide four-star recipients were:

• Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis
• Maple Grove Hospital in Maple Grove
• Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park
• Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina
