Instead of $4.5 Million and a New Mercedes, SLP Man Gets Swindled Out of $1,700

The man sent four payments to a Miami address after being promised millions of dollars and a new car.

A St. Louis Park man on social security disability was swindled out of $1,700 after being told he had won $4.5 million and a new Mercedes.

On Dec. 3 he sent $500 to the “US Sweepstakes and Fulfillment Company,” the first of four payments we would send to a Miami address.

He told police on Dec. 6 that he was told he was an “instant winner” and that he needed to send money to “cover fees and taxes.”
