Parktacular Looking for 2012 Volunteers

While was held less than three months ago, the planning for next year's event is already in full swing.

The Parktacular Planning Committee is looking for new volunteers to help in 2012. For those interested in learning more, a good starting place would be a meeting on Wednesday—the first meeting to address next year's Parktacular. Attendees can learn more about volunteering, offer suggestions or ideas, or simply hear more about the event.

Volunteer opportunities exist in the following areas: marketing and promotion, individual event management, sales (sponsorship and exhibit space), operations, business (secretary especially needed) and more.

After Wednesday's meeting, the planning committee will meet regularly on the second Wednesday of every month, from 7-9 p.m. in the Gallery Room.

Parktacular 2012 will run from June 14-17.
