St. Louis Park Resident Named Fourth District Judge
Gov. Mark Dayton appointed the local attorney to the position on Friday.

Kristin Siegesmund of St. Louis Park is one of two new judges in the Fourth Judicial District.
Gov. Mark Dayton appointed Siegesmund and James Moore of Plymouth to the positions Friday.
Siegesmund has served as a managing/supervising attorney for Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, according to a news release from the governor's office. She formerly worked at the Minnesota Disability Law Center.

"Ms. Siegesmund has taught numerous courses at William Mitchell College of Law and served as Chair of the St. Louis Park Human Rights Commission," according to the news release. "She has also held numerous volunteer positions with the St. Louis Park Schools and was a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council for Technology for Persons with Disabilities."
