St. Louis Park Traveling Baseball Team Takes 2nd in Tourney
The result continues a successful summer.

St. Louis Park Patch reader Andi Eberle recently got the low-down on a local team having some success and emailed in the following:
St. Louis Park Traveling Baseball's 13AA Black team continues to have a successful season. Adding onto two first place tournament wins, the team took seconnd place in the Gopher State Tournament of Champions held July 8-10 in Burnsville.
The team, seeded 14th, was one of two teams that came out of pool play undefeated. They beat OMG, Edina Gold, and No. 3-seeded Burnsville Gold to advance into bracket play on Sunday. The team came ready to play as they ran over Prior Lake Blue (No. 6 seed) with a score of 19-0 in 4 innings. They then beat Wayzata Gold (No. 2) in a close game to advance to the championship game.

They played the No. 1 seed Minnetonka Blue and lost 7-6 in a fabulous game, where the lead switched a couple times.
"Every single player on the club had significant contributions at the plate and in the field throughout the tournament," noted head coach Rob Eberle.
