STEP Lands Big Grant
The Beverly Foundation will match up to $30,000 toward the St. Louis Park Emergency Program's capital campaign.

The announced Monday that it has received a $30,000 matching grant from the Beverly Foundation.
The foundation will match all new gifts to STEP's STEPing Forward Capital Campaign dollar-to-dollar up to the $30,000 threshold. The emergency program launched the three-year campaign in 2008 as it prepared to move into its new Lake Street home last year. To date, more than $1.1 million has been raised. STEP's goal is $1.3 million.
“We hope that our community will step up to support the end of our capital campaign," STEP director Jackie Olafson said in a press release. "We are anxious to eliminate our mortgage so that all of our resources can be devoted to serving people in need in our community.”
