(UPDATED) Hail Hits SLP During Sunday Storm

More rain is expected throughout the week in the Twin Cities.

(UPDATE) April 16, 3:30 p.m. - The city reports that .72 inches of rain fell Sunday morning between 1:25 a.m and 4:35 a.m. Another .35 inches fell between 6:50 p.m. and 8:35 p.m.

April 15, 11 p.m - Shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday, dime-sized hail fell in St. Louis Park during a brief spurt as a large storm moved through the Twin Cities.

No serious damage has been reported due to the hail. A tornado watch had been in effect for Hennepin County, but the watch has been called off.

The National Weather Service reports that less severe storms could continue on Monday, particularly before 7 a.m. Colder weather and a bit of a breeze are expected for the rest of the day.

Thunderstorms could resurface on Tuesday night and into Wednesday, according to the latest NWS forecast.
