(VIDEO) Solemn SLP Fire Chief Marks 9/11 Anniversary

Local firefighters and police officers gathered to pay tribute to those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

With tears welling in his eyes, St. Louis Park Fire Chief Luke Stemmer marked the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on Tuesday morning with an emotional speech.

Standing outside the new , Stemmer said we must not forget those who died 11 years ago, and must always remember to tell loved ones how we feel.

"Tell them how much you care for them," the chief said, "because we don't know when it could happen to us."

When Stemmer finished his speech, a firefighter rang a bell as those in attendance bowed their heads in remembrance.
