(UPDATED) Visions for Vacancies: Hardware Store on Lake Street

Update: We spoke with the owner of the building, Curt Rahman, and he said he's been receiving a number of calls on the space. He said ideas include turning it into a restaurant or small sporting goods and SLP apparel shop. Rahman said he's waiting for the best offer before proceeding, and no definitive timetable exists for filling this vacancy.

It's no secret that the Lake Street corridor is an area that the city would like to see revitalized, and filling the vacant Do It Best Hardware store would be a step in that direction.
