With the Minnesota Supreme Court releasing new legislative district lines earlier this afternoon, there has been some shuffling going on across the state.
In St. Louis Park, the boundaries are generally the same, though residents will want to get used to being in District 46, not 44. St. Louis Park will still share a state senator with Hopkins and Golden Valley, and will share two state representatives with those cities as well.
The biggest change to the district comes to the northwest, as parts of Plymouth and Medicine Lake were added in. Parts of Golden Valley were also shifted out. This move impacts incumbent Rep. Ryan Winkler and incumbent Sen. Ron Latz.

Though the district is largely the same, it'd probably be wise for all residents to double-check what districts they'll be in going forward. To find your district, type your address into the state's district finder. At the very least, it is kind of fun to see the demographics of your new district (if you're a fellow wonk like me).
