What's Open, Closed in St. Louis Park on New Year's Eve and New Year's

  • City offices: The city offices will be open New Year's Eve but closed on New Year's Day.

  • Fire: Firefighters will be working on New Year's Eve and New Year's.
  • Police: Police officers will be working on New Year's Eve and New Year's.
  • Garbage: There will be no collection on New Year's Day. Tuesday to Friday collection will be delayed by one day.
  • Library: The St. Louis Park Library will be open New Year's Eve and closed New Year's Day.
  • Rec Center: The Rec Center will be closed New Year's Day.
  • Transportation: Buses will operate regularly and be free starting 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve. On New Year's Day, buses will operate on holiday schedules; check the Metro Transit website for route details. 
  • Businesses: Call businesses, including convenience stores and grocery stores, to make sure they are open before you venture out.
  • Mall: Knollwood Mall will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. New Year's Eve and New Year's.
      • Banks: Bank hours vary. Call specific bank locations for hours.
