Albertville's Goin' Postal Makes Change at the Top
Brian Edlund takes local packaging palace over as Lynn VanDenBroeke prepares for a new adventure.

For the past three and a half years, Goin' Postal has been Albertville's destination for shipping solutions.
With all due respect to the U.S. Postal Service, the little shop in front of Coborns off of LaBeaux Avenue has been able to help customers with everything from packing peanuts to overnight shipping, and done it with service and a style.
Brian Edlund and Candice Swenson are now taking over Lynn VanDenBroke's pride and joy, as the former owner hangs it up to recover from shoulder surgery, and look for the next adventure in her life.

"We opened in April of 2008, and I like to think in the last three years we've found a few different ways to contribute and help the community here," VanDenBroeke said. "We gave people an option. In a time where everyone is looking for the economic thing to do, we were able to give people a lot of different choices."
But it wasn't just that. There was the ever-present pooch, VanDenBroeke's sidekick, and the ever-present smile.

"She really taught us a lot about customer service and getting to know everyone who walks in here," Edlund, who has worked with VanDenBroeke since December 2009. "I like the idea of being a business in a small community. I think we have a great atmosphere here."
Edlund and Swenson went through training with the Goin' Postal Franchise late last month and closed on the deal to purchase the business soon after. They said they won't change much, just beefing up the computer services (Brian's expertise) side of the job, including computer repair.
"There are opportunities there for us as the economy grows," he said. "But Lynn and Lee set the bar very high. There's not much to change."
