St. Michael Albertville High School 2002 graduate Dan Franklin recently led the Saint John's University rugby team to earn the National Small College championship.
The Saint John's University team won with a 31-16 win over Duke University Sunday, April 28, at Infinity Park, Glendale, Colo.
Franklin is the St. John's University rugby team head coach.

Rugby is a club sport at Saint John's. A total of 211 teams competed for the National Small College championship, which is based on men's enrollment, according to a SJU news release.
