Firefighters were able to stop the blaze from spreading to the main home Tuesday afternoon.

The Albertville Fire Chief Tate Mills released a fire report on Tuesday afternoon's fire.

"The investigation has been turned over to the homeowner's insurance company," Mills said.

The fire is believed to have started inside the RV that was located on the North side of the garage. After the fire completely consumed the RV, the fire spread into the garage and due to a small hole between the garage and the home's firewall, smoke did spread throughout the house.

"No one was home during the fire, so there were no injuries," Mills reported. "There is significant damage to the garage and smoke damage inside the home," he added.

"We have a great daytime crew that paid dividends in this one," he said, implying the fire could have been worse without St. Michael and Albertville Fire Departments on the scene, especially considering the home is surrounded by brush and fields.

Albertville City employees also help with daytime fire calls as well now and were on the scene both pumping water and directing traffic today.
