DWI Offenses Spike again in Wright County

This week's blotter includes a number of arrests for violations behind the wheel. Countywide, Wright County deputies cracked down on driving while intoxicated, handing out more than 20 citations. 

Calls and information are provided by the Wright County Sheriff's Department and the St. Michael Fire Department. 

June 21
The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical alarm call in the 2000^th block of Lancaster Avenue NE.  A 42 year old woman fell and hit her head.

The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 4000^th block of Naber Avenue NE.  There was a male having chest pains.

June 23
The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 94.  They were cancelled en-route.

 The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 40^th block of St. Michael Parkway NE.  A woman had fallen and hit her head.

 The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call in the 700^th block of Ibarra Avenue NE.  It was a false alarm.

June 24
The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 200^th block of Birch Avenue NW.  There was a possible carbon monoxide leak.

June 26
The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 4000^th block of Mayer Avenue NE.  There was a 21 year old male having a seizure

The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 9000^th block of 30^th Street NE for an 88 year old male with a rapid heartbeat.

June 27 
The  St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 100^th block of Central Avenue W for a 10 year old boy having a seizure on the baseball field.

 Ryan Robert Ortt, 27, of Albertville was arrested in Otsego on the charge of driving after cancellation inimical to public safety.

June 28
Christopher Dejon Ellis, 22, of Albertville was arrested in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for 2nd degree burglary.

Chad Allan Strefelder, 41, of Otsego was arrested in Otsego on the charge of driving after cancellation inimical to public safety.

Brett Todd Medenwaldt, 51, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael on the charge of 5th degree controlled substance violation.

June 29
Adam Dale Fosdick, 27, of Otsego was arrested in Buffalo on the charge of violation of domestic abuse no contact order

July 1
Michael Kerteris Queen, 32, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael on the charge of domestic assault.

Wright County Deputies reported two property damage accidents, one personal injury accidents, one hit-and-run accidents and a car vs. deer accidents. There were 20 arrests for DWI, two underage consumption arrests and 11 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
