Grass Fires on I-94, Jamison Avenue: St. Michael and Albertville Fire Blotters

The following is a summary of incidents responded to by the St. Michael and Albertville Fire Departments July 17-31, 2013.

July 17

• Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a two car accident with injuries at the intersection of the entrance ramp to I-94 west and County Road 37.

July 18

• Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a call in the 11800 block of 78th Street NE in Otsego for a strong smell of smoke. No fire was found.

July 20

• St. Michael Fire Department and Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a garage fire in the 12100 block of 74th Street NE in Otsego.

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 1200th block of Janett Avenue NE for carbon monoxide detector sounding.

July 21

• Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a medical call in the 11900 block of 53rd Street NE for three individuals exposed to an electrical shock.

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 400th block of Hillcrest Drive NE for a female not feeling well.

July 22

• The Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a call for smoke alarms sounding in the 11500 block of 76th Street NE, Otsego. No fire was found.

July 23

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to a grass fire call on Interstate 94.

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Napier Parkway NE for an elderly male having abdominal pain.

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 600th block of Ridge Drive SE for an elderly male who had fallen.

July 25

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 11000th block of Town Center Drive NE for an unresponsive elderly female.

July 27

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 900th block of Central Avenue E for a male having a seizure.

• Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a call in the 6400 block of Mason Avenue NE for a smoldering, unattended bon-fire. The department extinguished the red embers with water and foam.

July 28

• Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a call in the 6400 block of Mason Avenue NE for the rekindling of a bon-fire from the previous day. The department extinguished the fire using water and foam.                 

• Albertville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a fire alarm in the 12100 block of 73rd Street NE in Otsego. Wright County Dispatch cancelled the call prior to the trucks rolling.

July 31

• St. Michael Fire Department responded to grass fire in the 1400th block of Jamison Avenue NE.
