Labor Day Weekend Comes, Goes Without Much Action in St. Michael
It was a quiet Labor Day Weekend, for the most part, for local first responders.

A couple of structural fires prompted calls for local volunteer firefighters, but the overall tone of Labor Day weekend and the first week of September was a quiet one for the St. Michael-Albertville area.

St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call in the 100th block of Central Avenue.Β It was a false alarm.Β Β

Albertville Fire Department (AFD) responded to a vehicle rollover at 2:52 p.m. on interstate 94 near exit 201. There were only minor injuries.
September 3
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 100th block of Carissa Lane SW. A resident overdosed on pain medications.
September 4
AFD responded medical emergency at 7:16 p.m. on the 12000 block of 58th Street NE.Β A male party was having difficulty breathing.
September 5
AFD responded to mutual aid for Monticello for a structure fire at 2:24 PM on the 700 block of Elm Street in Monticello.
STMFD and AFD responded to a structure fire at 7:50 PM on the 7400 block of Marlowe Avenue.
AFD responded to mutual aid for Monticello for a structure fire at 8:42 PM on the 9400 block of Golden Estates Way in Monticello.
September 6
The department responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Medley Lane NE. They were cancelled en-route.
Adam Brian Quamme, 28, of Albertville was arrested in Albertville for 2nd degree DWI.
September 7
The St. Michael Albertville Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 10th block of Central Avenue E.Β They were cancelled en-route.
AFD responded medical emergency at 3:30 p.m. on the 12000 block of 58th Street NE.Β A female party was having a possible stroke.
Wright County Sheriff's Deputies reported 17 property damage accidents, five personal injury accidents, six hit-and-run accidents and one car vs. deer accident. There were seven arrests for DWI, two underage consumption arrests and 76 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
