Lake Beebe, Highway 241 Jurisdiction: St. Michael City Council Preview

Here are a few items scheduled to be reviewed by the St. Michael City Council at the Tuesday, March 26, 2013 meeting, according to the agenda. Items listed below are not final until approved.

• Public hearing regarding approving modifications to the DNR Beebe Lake permit. Possible approval of resolution which would water levels of Beebe Lake and Mud Lake to be controled to reduce flooding along Beebe Lake and reduce operation and maintenance costs associated with managing water levels.

• Discuss potential Highway 241 jurisdiction change.

• Set a public hearing for May 14 for the modification if TIF District 5-1 – Oakwood Parkway. It is estimated amending “will allow the city to capture an additional $20,000 in increment,” according to a memo to the council from City Development Director Marc Weigle. The district will be decertified in 2014.

• Award 2013 supplier of concrete materials. 

• Approve minutes from March 12 meeting.

• Approve annual renewal of liquor license for Crow River County Club.

• Approve ordering bides for 2013 bituminous overlay project.
