Much to be Thankful For in St. Michael, Albertville
Nearly one year into this experiment called Patch, there is so much to be thankful for here in our community.

If you're familiar with St. Michael Patch, and I'm assuming most of you reading this probably are, you'll know I'm not one for columns.
It's not that I don't enjoy them. Up until about a year ago, I wrote one every week. First at my job in West Fargo, then during my stint in Monticello.
But Patch isn't about me. It's not my site, nor is it my platform to share my opinion about what's happening in town.

It's about you. And I can honestly say no community in Minnesota has caught onto that more quicky than St. Michael-Albertville. All you have to do is look at the numbers.
For that, I'm so very thankful.

We've had quite the year.
Since launching during the first week of December, there have been blizzards, floods, tragedies, triumphs and even a tornado.
We've watched our young people rise to new heights, and fall in dramatic losses.
We've read about our friends, neighbors, children and grandparents.
I think one of my main worries, when I agreed to launch at Patch in STMA, was "Is there enough to keep it fresh every single day?"
And how.
I'm so thankful that I'm able to share this new medium with you. And that this community has reciprocated in the process, opening their homes and lives to our team of reporters and our local readers.
From our "Patch Family" to yours, here's to a healthy, happy and very blessed Thanksgiving.
