Mud Spectacular, Bicycle Stunt Show Among New Events at Wright County Fair

The Wright County Fair continues through Sunday, Aug. 4 at the fairgrounds located in nearby Howard Lake on 1010 1st Street. 

The midway, entertainment and demolition derby are among the Wright County Fair events scheduled for 2013. The annual celebration runs July 30-Aug. 4. New this year, the Twin Cities Fantasy Factory Mega Jump Bicycling Stunt Show will perform Saturday at various times. The 2013 Mud Spectacular will take place 1 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $10 in addition to fair admission and parking.

Other area events the weekend of Aug. 3-4, 2013 in and around St. Michael include:

• Run or watch the TwiKnight 8K Saturday, Aug. 3 at the St. Michael Recreation Center City Park. Race starts at 6:45 p.m., registration begins 5 p.m.

• Help out the STMA Competitive Cheerleaders by checking out Ditto's Meat Raffle 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug 2 at 23 Central Ave. W. in Saint Michael.

• Take in an evening at the theater watching “Annie!” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at nearby Elk River High School Zabee Theater, 900 School Street in Elk River. Ticket prices on the Elk River Community Theater website.
