Nearby Travel Advisory: Intestate 94 Closed Between Highway 24 and County Road 75

(2:43 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol have opened Interstate 94 between Highway 24 in Clearwater and County Road 75 in St. Cloud/St. Augusta.

The segment of interstate was closed earlier today due to a crash. While that crash has been cleared and the road is open, traffic remains heavy and slow and is expected to remain slow through this evening’s rush hour.

Motorists should consider using Highway 10, Highway 55 or other alternate routes, or check www.511mn.org prior to travel.

According to a KARE11 report, the roadway has been reopened as of about 1:30 p.m. There are no details as to possible injuries involving several at least three vehicles.

12:45 p.m. May 3, 2013

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed Interstate 94 between Highway 24 in Clearwater and County Road 75 in St. Cloud/St. Augusta due to a crash, as of 12:25 p.m May 3. 

I-94 will remain closed until further notice, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.  

Traffic is being detoured along County Road 75 and Highway 24.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and may want using Highway 10, Highway 55 or another alternate route, the Minnesota Department of Transportation suggests.
