St. Michael-Albertville High School studentsΒ Katie Scott, Wesley Van't Hull and Cortney Woodis recentlyΒ won National Scholastic Art Awards.
Cortney received a gold medal for drawing, Kaite received a silver medal for photography, Wesley received a silver medal for drawing, according to a Press and News post. Β
The Scholastic Awards is scholarship and recognition program for creative teens.Β Of the 230,000 submissions to the Awards this year, only one percent received national recognition.

National Scholastic Award Medalists will be honored in New York City on May 31 and June 1. The National Celebration includes a ceremony at Carnegie Hall, an exhibition of selected National Medalist art and writing at Parsons The New School for Design and Pratt Manhattan Gallery, and other events.
