The St. Michael Economic Development Authority is scheduled to meet 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at St. Michael City Hall.

Contract for deed offer for 22 1st Street SE.

  • The property is the β€œlast property anticipated to be purchased for redevelopment of the entire lumberyard block, according to a July 12 memo to EDA members from St. Michael Community Development Director Marc Weigle. A proposal was received regarding a proposed price and terms for a contract for deed for review.

  • The city has been working with a business interested in β€œacquiring” a 5.17-acre parcel on the 5900 block of Quam Avenue NE to construct a new 25,000 to 30,000 square foot facility, according to a July 12 memo to EDA members from Weigle. β€œThe EDA would be a conduit for the business to purchase the lot,” Weigle wrote.

WSB economic development services proposal

  • WSB is proposing to provide economic development services to provide market data information, reports and more for business leads as well as serve as a marketer for St. Michael and other I-94 cities.

  • Updates on the various planning, economic and residential development projects in St. Michael.
