Snowfall Causes Spike in St. Michael Area Accidents

The Dec. 3 snow made travel a bit treacherous and caused more than 50 property damage accidents and a couple of rollovers locally.

Wright County Sheriff's Department deputies and the fire departments of St. Michael and Albertville reported the following calls.

November 28

Carrie Jo Hunter, 55, St. Michael, was arrested in Monticello for 3rd degree DWI.Β

November 29,

Allison Campbell Bailey, 38, Albertville, was charged with gross misdemeanor shoplifting.

November 30

Robert Joseph Smith, 33, of Buffalo was arrested in St Michael on a Hennepin County warrant for theft.

Shelley Ann Nickel, 42, of Albertville was charged with felony fifth degree controlled substance.

St. Michael Fire responded to a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries at Highway 101 and 45th Street NE.

December 1

Albertville Fire Department responded to an emergency medical call at 12:27 AM on the 5300 block of Barthel Industrial Drive.Β  A female party was having difficulty breathing.

AFD responded to a rollover accident at 4:46 AM on the County Road 37.Β  They were cancelled in route.

AFD responded to an emergency medical call at 10:32 AM at The Albertville Outlet Mall.Β  A female party had fallen and injured her back.

AFD responded to an emergency medical call at 12:43 PM on the 11000 block of Jason Avenue.Β  A male party was having chest pains.

St. Miichael Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call in the 700th block of Ibarra Avenue NE.Β  It was a false alarm.

December 2

AFD responded to an emergency medical call at 7:47 AM on the 5600 block of Lachman Avenue.Β  A female party was having complications from a recent surgery.Β 

December 3

Alla Nikoloyevna Mazan, 45, of Albertville was arrested in Albertville on charges of 3rd degree DWI and 2nd degree test refusal.

SMFD responded to a medical call in the 11000th block of Town Center Drive NE.Β  There was a 52 year-old-male have a reaction to his medication.

SMFD also responded to a motor vehicle fire in the 4000th block of O'Day Avenue NE. There was a semi-trailer on fire.

December 4

Benjamin Anaya, 32, of St Michael was arrested in St Michael for 5th degree assault.

Joy Lyne Predmore-Peck, 55, of Ellsworth, Wis., was arrested in Albertville for 3rd degree DWI.

AFD responded to a rollover accident at 10:10 AM on the 6800 block of Oakwood Avenue.Β  They were cancelled en route.

December 5

AFD responded to an emergency medical call at 1:03 AM on the 7400 block of Lambert Ave. A male party was having trouble breathing.

December 6

St. Michael Fire was dispatched to an illegal burning call in the 2000th block of La Beaux Avenue NE.Β  There were three unattended fires that included building materials, tires and grass burning on the property.

Wright County Deputies also reported 53 property damage accidents, five personal injury accidents, four hit and run accidents and nine car vs. deer accidents. There were five arrests for DWI, three underage consumption arrests, one School Bus Stop Arm Violation, and 118 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
