St. Michael-Albertville Football Seniors Sent off With Magical Win
Chris Kleven had the play of the game, and junior quarterback Cole Krutzig made sure the senior class got a win in its last regular season home game.
For Monticello, it was a game of "almost."
The Magic almost got off a punt that was, instead, blocked by St. Michael-Albertville safety Chris Kleven. It was a play that set up the game-winning score.
Monticello "almost" connected on a pass play that would have set them up deep in Knight territory with the fourth quarter winding down.

And the Magic almost snapped its losing streak to the Knights.
Instead, it was St. Michael-Albertville who capitalized, pulling out a 14-10 victory in a game that pitted two 4-2 teams against each other.

Cole Krutzig made the offensive play of the game for the Knights. The junior quarterback, four plays after Kleven's punt, reveresed direction on a designed bootleg to the left.
He went right, and found nothing but green, making one man miss and diving for the endzone for an early fourth quarter touchdown and the winning score.
Both teams scored once in the first half, the Magic just seconds before the intermission on a pretty touchdown pass. Monticello added a field goal in the third quarter and actually held a 10-7 lead.
