St. MIchael-Albertville Men Bike to Raise Money for Larsons
An annual trek to imbibe in local food and drink turned into a well-deserved fundraiser recently for a host of local guys on bikes.
Phil Detlefsen and company couldn't asked for a nicer day.Β

The annual BWOB trek, organized by Detlefsen and a few Highlands neighborhood friends, has always been something of an inside joke, and a reason to have some fun.Β

"This year we hit up customers for donations for the Larson family. We were able to raise $362 that will be donated to the trust fund that has been set up through their church," he said.
Actually, that number's grown. As word has spread about the guys' sunny ride, the number's actually closer to $500 for the family of slain teacher Timothy Larson.Β
The money will go into a trust fund for the Larsons' two young boys.Β
"We just wanted to do something to help," said honorary Highlands neighbor Lucas Hansen, who lives in St. Michael's Preserve.Β
