St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West Goes White For Jabs

The students held a "White Out" last week and wore white clothing in honor of the Benilde-St. Margaret skater.

Joining literally dozens of other Twin Cities metro schools in a show of solidarity, St. Michael-Albertville students donned white for a day in support of Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player who was paralyzed last week.

Jablonski was checked from behind in a junior varsity hockey game vs. Wayzata. He was completely paralyzed moments after the hit, but has shown progress as of late, regaining movement in his arms and legs.

The North Wright County RiverHawks are also planning to show their support for Jablonski and a Minnehaha Academy girl who also suffered a spinal cord injury after being hit from behind last week. Her prognosis is better, but she is still recovering at Hennepin County Medical Center.
