Sunday Street Flooding in Albertville Storm Brings Clean Up, Water Watching
Three residents reported damaged to their basements following the June 23 storm.

After a reported 2-4 inches of rain within two hours Sunday, June 23, Albertville was continuing clean up and water watching efforts.
βThis amount rain over such a short duration, coupled by the highly saturated soil conditions, produced flash flooding and resulted in localized street flooding and overtopping of several rear yard sediment ponds,β Albertville City Administrator Adam Nafstad told Patch in an email.
The intersection of Barthel Industrial Drive an 54th Street NE had the βgreatest degreeβ of flooding, according to Nafstad, with about two-feet of weather at the intersection. Three residents near the intersection reported damage to their basement.
