Workshop: Upland Bird Hunting Basics for Women

Women interested in learning the basics of upland bird hunting are invited to a free workshop from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Cabelaβs in Rogers.
The event is the first class in a how to hunt upland bird series for women. This program is part of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resourcesβ (DNR) Becoming an Outdoors Woman program.Β Β

βThis upland bird series is a new outreach effort,β said Linda Bylander, an outreach program coordinator for the DNR. βIt is tailored to those who have not yet hunted upland birds or have limited experience.βΒ Β Β
Participants will learn about upland birds, seasons and regulations and what equipment is needed to hunt pheasant and grouse.
