Jackson Fire Department battles blaze at business with vehicles and bus inside (wapt.com) — Firefighters in Jackson spent Wednesday battling a blaze at a recently purchased commercial building on Bailey Avenue that housed several vehicles and a bus. The bus was heavily damaged, but no injuries were reported. Investigators are still working to determine what sparked the fire, and the structure reportedly had no power at the time.

U.S. Marshals arrest man in California wanted in New Orleans murder (wdsu.com) — U.S. Marshals say a New Orleans murder suspect once hid out in Jackson before vanishing again and ultimately being captured this week in Morro Bay, California. The man is accused in a 2022 killing and will be extradited to Louisiana to face charges after a standoff ended with his arrest.

- I have 2 puppies I’m looking to rehome.
One is a boy and other one is a girl. I think they are pit bull mixed with lab. They are about 7-8 weeks old. Small rehoming fee to help sorta ensure… (Nextdoor Fondren) - Can someone please help these girls?
