- Despite Memorial Day weekend travel demand exceeding pre-pandemic levels, gasoline prices have remained relatively stable in recent weeks. Analysts predict that gas prices will likely stay close to their current levels throughout the summer unless there are any unforeseen natural disasters or disruptions in refinery operations. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Jackson was $3.58 on May 30, which is a dollar less compared to the same time last year when prices reached record highs. (WJTV)
