Two DWI Arrests, Heroin Possession, Modem Theft and More

This is the latest crime blotter from the Shrewsbury Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Thursday, May 17
An O'Fallon man received citations at 8:20 p.m. for possessing drug paraphernalia, having no proof of insurance and having an obstructed license plate during a traffic stop in the 7800 block of Watson Road.

Friday, May 18
A man from south St. Louis city was arrested at 3:20 a.m. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and not having a Missouri operator's license. It happened after the man passed out at the wheel of his vehicle on the parking lot of , 7250 Lansdowne Ave.

Monday, May 21
Two residents of south St. Louis city were arrested on suspicion of trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia and heroin in the 7600 block of Watson Rd. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office was expected to review the case before formal charges are filed.

Thursday, May 24
An AT&T U-Verse modem was reported stolen from an unlocked home in the 7600 block of Suffolk Avenue. The incident appears to have happened sometime between 7:30 and 8 a.m. while the resident was out walking her dog.

A Brentwood resident received a citation for possessing a crack pipe during a traffic stop at 10:20 p.m. in the 4100 block of Shrewsbury Avenue.

A man from north St. Louis County has been arrested and questioned in connection with an armed robbery that happened May 15 at the Mackenzie Pointe parking lot. A second man from the same area is being sought. Further investigation is planned before formal charges are filed.

Saturday, May 26
A New Mexico man was arrested at 2 a.m. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on eastbound Interstate 44 at Shrewsbury Avenue. He had been driving 30 mph in a 60-mph zone and failed field sobriety tests. A breath sample indicated he had a blood alcohol level of .162 percent.
