What do you see as the biggest issues moving forward in Ballwin?
The important issues we face in Ballwin are to continue the excellent services the city provides at no extra cost, to stay at the top in regards to the national recognition we have been so fortunate to receive, and take advantage of environmental initiatives to mitigate the impact on our area. That will help us save money to apply to resident services and continue to provide a safe, desirable city our children will stay in to raise their families.
What do you view as Ballwin's greatest accomplishment(s) in the past five years?
There are many things we as Ballwin residents can hang our hats on: voted best place to live by Money magazine; best place to raise a family by Family Circle;Β and the 47th safest city in the United States byΒ Neighborhoodscout.com;Β the International Baseball tournaments held at BAA which brought kids to our city from Japan, Australia, Germany, Austria, and Netherlands. The one thing that is the best in my mind would be the ability to maintain the way of life we expect even in a down economy without cutting staff or services.
Assume you win the election. What single thing do you want to accomplish during your term?
If re-elected, I will concentrate on the safety of our streets for motorists, pedestrian access, and neighborhoods. We have more and more people out walking all while there is an increasing number of motorists. We need to make sure that both can exist together with complete safety and enjoyment.
