Ballwin Police Focus on Drunk Driving
Ballwin's Police Department will participate in Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

The will be stepping up patrol for impaired drivers in a statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign Aug. 17-Sept. 3.
The initiative is a state-wide effort in the force of driving while intoxicated (DWI) saturation patrols to crack down on drunk driving.
“Driving drunk is simply not worth all the consequences,” said Ballwin Police Chief Steven Schicker. “Our message is simple and unwavering: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”

According to a Ballwin Police statement, 220 people were killed and 902 seriously injured in vehicle crashes where an impaired driver was involved. Out of all Missouri traffic fatalities, 30 percent of them are attributed to impaired driving.
