Ballwin Police Golf Scramble Gives Back to BackStoppers

The police department presented a check worth almost $5,000 to the non-profit organization.

The  donated $4,902.70 to BackStoppers, Inc., from funds raised at the police department's 6th annual June 18.

The retired Chief Ron Battelle, executive director of BackStoppers, was presented with the donation Aug. 9 by members of the Ballwin P.D. Over the six years the charity golf event has been held in Ballwin, the Department says it has raised more than $30,000 for BackStoppers.

BackStoppers is an organization providing assistance to families of first responders killed in the line of duty within Missouri and Illinois.
