The  donated $4,902.70 to <a href="http://backstoppers.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">BackStoppers, Inc.</a>, from funds raised at the police department's 6th annual June 18. The retired Chief Ron Battelle, executive director of BackStoppers, was presented with the donation Aug. 9 by members of the Ballwin P.D. Over the six years the charity golf event has been held in Ballwin, the Department says it has raised more than $30,000 for BackStoppers. BackStoppers is an organization providing assistance to families of first responders killed in the line of duty within Missouri and Illinois.
