Ballwin City Planner Tom Aiken confirmed that the Planning and Zoning Commission this week gave a "positive recommendation" to plans that would see a Jimmy John's Sandwich shop occupy the former Mr. C's on Manchester Road. The restaurant would use the same building, and add drive-thru service. The Drive-Thru element is what requires city approval. The Board of Alderman should hear the issue Monday May 13. Akien said the restaurant's backers have not indicated when Jimmy John's would be open, pending approval.
